4 November: Ergo Asia announced as external print manager

Overview

The QGCPO has established a Print Management Solution to manage the future printing requirements of Queensland Government agencies.

A centralised Print Management Solution will provide agencies with:

  1. the ‘best price of the day’
  2. access to Queensland Government accredited print suppliers
  3. a whole-of-government print policy
  4. the opportunity to achieve further benefits through continuous improvement initiatives

A key component of the Print Management Solution is the development of a sophisticated online Print Management System. This system, provided by an external print manager, will provide an electronic interface between Queensland Government agencies and accredited print suppliers.  

The Print Management Solution has been mandated by Cabinet and applies to all budget sector Queensland Government agencies.  Non-government and not-for-profit organisations wishing to use the Print Management Solution should enquire with the Queensland Government Chief Procurement Office about their eligibility. The Queensland Government Chief Procurement Office’s Print Management Unit will work with agencies to ensure a smooth transition to the Print Management Solution.  They will also work in partnership with the external print manager to establish panel arrangements with accredited print suppliers. Agencies have been requested to advise the Print Management Unit of existing arrangements with external suppliers. Proposed new whole-of-government arrangements for office consumables will be established to cater for items such as business cards, letterheads, ‘with compliments’ slips and printed envelopes.
