Measuring and reporting sustainable procurement targets

Corporate Procurement Plans

Sustainable procurement targets and initiatives must be reported annually in each agency's Corporate Procurement Plan.

A Corporate Procurement Plan template is available for agencies and contains guidance on sustainable procurement measurement and reporting. Please email betterprocurement@qgcpo.qld.gov.au for more information about Corporate Procurement Planning.

Whole-of-Government performance measures

The State Procurement Policy requires agencies to have a procurement measurement and reporting framework in place. Measurement provides an opportunity to demonstrate the real and identifiable benefits of procurement, as well as improving the quality of Government and agency procurement policy and decision making.

Measures for adoption by agencies in 2009-10 have been released as part of the 2009 Corporate Procurement Plan template, and this includes measures that are specific to sustainable procurement. Agencies should refer to the Data dictionary: Budget sector agency procurement performance measures for specific advice on each measure.
