Australian and New Zealand Government Framework for Sustainable Procurement

In 2006 the Australian Procurement and Construction Council (APCC) established a working group to develop Australian and New Zealand Government Framework for Sustainable Procurement, in which Queensland Government was a key participant. The framework provides a set of national principles to assist state, territory and Commonwealth governments to integrate sustainability into Australian and New Zealand public procurement.

QGCPO is a signatory to the Australian and New Zealand Government Framework for Sustainable Procurement, and has used the framework to guide the establishment of policies and practices that assist government agencies to integrate the principles of sustainability into the procurement of goods, services and construction.

Queensland currently chairs the Sustainable Procurement Working Group of the APCC Sustainable Procurement Framework Implementation Project.
