Shared Services Initiative (SSI) Procurement Project

Procurement Improvement Initiative

Queensland Government Chief Procurement Office is working with the Shared Services Implementation Office to help government agencies and their Shared Service Providers improve their procurement practices.

The Procurement Improvement Initiative looks at:

the significant areas of expenditure by Queensland Government agencies on supplies and services
the systems and processes agencies use to undertake their procurement activities in conjunction with the Shared Services Initiative business process redesign project
whole-of-government procurement management improvement programs.

We are consulting agencies and shared service providers to identify and implement procurement improvement opportunities to realise cashable and non-cashable benefits.

So far, the project has worked on:

office supplies
information and communication technology hardware
desktop print management
toner cartridges
procurement capability and performance within key agencies.
