Policy and implementation notes

Queensland's State Procurement Policy provides the framework for all Queensland Government procurement. All government agencies, statutory bodies and Government Owned Corporations are required to comply with the State Procurement Policy and Queensland's trade agreement obligations.

As custodian of the State Procurement Policy, Queensland Government Chief Procurement Office offers a range of resources to assist government procurement officers in the application of the policy framework and support them through the whole procurement cycle, from initial planning to contract management.

In addition to developing the resources available in these pages, our policy advisors consult widely with government and private sector to develop policy frameworks that consistently improve procurement outcomes. The team provides expert advice and guidance on purchasing best practice, to both client agencies and suppliers.
